Kaffecentralen is a Finnish company specialised in high-end espresso coffees and coffee machines. In addition to our warehouse and B2B offices at Lauttasaari, we have a shop in Helsinki at Fredrikinkatu 59, where we offer a wide selection of coffee beans, tea and equipment for the most ambitious and passionate home baristas. You are also welcome to enjoy a cup of coffee at our in-store espresso bars.
Our passion is quality in the cup, and we work hard to help our customers to achieve this goal. There are several things to consider on the way; coffee quality, equipment, technique and experience are all important when you’re aiming at the perfect cup of coffee. We strive to offer the very best of the best to our customers when it comes to quality, consistency and durability. As an importer and distributor, we represent several premium products in Finland, including the world famous La Marzocco espresso machines.

HISTORY
Kaffecentralen's roots lie deeply within the coffee culture of Helsinki. Kristian von Essen, owner of Café Kafka in the 1990s, wanted to offer authentic Italian espresso in his cafe. At that time, it was a rarity to drink espresso and to find a good espresso in the city was not easy. Kristian started to import coffee straight from Italy, and quickly after that, surrounding restaurants and cafes became interested in his coffee.
This small scale distribution business turned out to be a good base for a new business, which nowadays serves hundreds of customers across the country. In 2009 the turnover exceeded one million, and the warehouse moved from its small facilities in Punavuori to Lauttasaari.
